Flashy or ornamental fonts are not allowable on Car Registration Plates, and only UK national flags are allowed: any other symbols, such as football team logos or religious symbols may not be displayed on private car number plates. In September, the plate S 1 was bought for &opund;404,062.50, which shows that the popularity for number plates continues.
