England Number Plates Up For Auction

England fans trying to show their pride and support for their team can buy original England football number plates for their car very soon, the specialized number plates are very rare and will only be available from the DVLA in the coming months. Of course, there is a very limited number of plates available and they are sure to sell for very large sums of money. The majority of plates belong to the DVLA’s 51st series which will prove very significant to die heart England fans.

The plates will have such lettering as ‘OK51 ENG’ representing England’s landmark 5-1 victory over old rivals Germany in the 2006 world cup. Some of the number plates have been pre-bought by auctioneers and will be resold at a higher price. The 5-1 victory is with out a doubt one of England’s proudest sporting moments, something no England fan will ever forget, it is for that reason these plates are priced so high and will be extremely popular. The plates are sure to be very popular through out the country with hundreds expected to attend each auction.

Specialized number plates have always been very popular through out the UK, recently football plates have become very popular with one west ham plate being sold for thousands of pounds to a lucky fan. Another Newcastle united number plate recently went for and undisclosed fee reported to be in the hundreds of thousands. A Manchester united fan recently insured his number plate for £7,500, even though his care insurance is less then £400.

There is an estimated 1000 of these number plates to be circulated through out the UK, to various auctioneers or straight to England fans with money to spare. The number plates are a must have for any England supporter, however for most of us the plates will be just out of our price range with some of the plates expected to sell for up to £10,000.
