Julie Strange, 43, was contacted by bailiffs and received warning letters from the DVLA concerning their beliefs that her deceased son Paul had bought a car without registering it.

She informed them that her son tragically died in a train accident in 2006 but they continued to contact the home about the mysterious unregistered vehicle which Ms.Strange had never seen or heard of before then.

She even went to the extent of sending them his death cert however she then recieved a summons ordering him to appear in court.

When she arrived at the courthouse she carried in her hands a wooden casket containing her sons ashes.

The case was then scrapped to the embarasment of all those on the procecution.

"I just hope this is the end of it. This has been really traumatic for the whole family. Said Ms. Strange.

Ms. Strange is now hoping that the ordeal is behind her and her family and that she recives an apology from the DVLA who had refused to comment on the case at hand.
