Ever increasing value of top end cherished number plates

Personal or cherished number plates can now sell for more than the average priced house.

In January 2008 the business man Afzal Khan paid £440,625 for the cherished number plate 'F 1'. Other cherished registrations which sold for impressive prices are 'M 1' which went for £331,000, 'K1 NGS' which sold for £235,000; '1 A' for £202,000; 'S1 NGH' for £108,000; '1 RR' for £106,000; 'G1 LLY' for £87,500; 'P1 LOT' for £82,500 and 'ELV 1S' for £75,000.

This trend is not restricted to the UK. Earlier this year the number plate '1', that's right just the number '1' sold for an astonishing £7.1 million pounds in the United Arab Emirates!
